FixedWingLib CGF is now available

Rosenheim, Germany – 31th May 2010, RTDynamics announced, today, the immediate availability of FixedWingLib CGF®, a C++ library that provides unprecedented realism for computer generated fixed wing entities such as wingmen, enemy targets and fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

FixedWingLib CGF allows developers to add ready-to-use flight maneuvers to their simulations. The maneuver library is a collection of C++ classes and includes navigational maneuvers and military maneuvers for air combat and close air support. All maneuvers are designed to be controlled with AI and are ideal for use in visual simulation and semi-automated forces (SAF) applications.

For FixedWingLib CGF, RTDynamics has developed a special 6-DOF flight dynamics model and a library of low level controllers which can be extended and customized to simulate almost any type of aircraft and any type of maneuver. The new controller system makes it possible to simulate maneuvers, which are almost impossible to simulate with existing solutions due to the need for finer maneuver control. Maneuvers relevant to pilot and air crew training purposes such as air combat or air refueling require the precision provided by FixedWingLib CGF.
