One of the most common applications of FixedWingLib FDM® (Flight Dynamics Model) is engineering simulators. A very complex and expensive flight model is rarely required for engineering simulators. In many cases, FixedWingLib FDM is sufficient as is, out of the box, without any additional work other than integration.
- FixedWingLib is affordable for engineering simulators.
- You can simply re-use an existing FixedWingLib FDM airplane model.
- FixedWingLib generates a large number of flight model data which can be used by control systems, avionics or other airplane systems.
- It is extensible; you can replace a certain airplane system and re-use the rest.
MATLAB®/Simulink®
FixedWingLib FDM can be used within MATLAB environment through MEX functions.
